RRT27317K5-690, 7.5kW GaN Solid-State S-Band Transmitter

RRT27317K5-690, 7.5kW GaN Solid-State S-Band Transmitter

At MTX 2025, RFHIC will present its GaN solid-state transmitter portfolio designed for next-generation radar systems. Among these, the RRT27317K5-690 is a 7.5 kW S-band transmitter developed for weather observation, air traffic control, and defense applications, demonstrating RFHIC’s leadership in high-power RF innovation.

Leveraging GaN-on-SiC technology, the transmitter delivers high power density, thermal reliability, and wideband performance, surpassing the limitations of traditional vacuum tube systems. Its solid-state architecture provides fault-tolerant design, modular scalability, and long service life, enabling reduced maintenance costs and maximum system uptime.

The RRT27317K5-690 integrates multiple high-efficiency GaN amplifier modules with advanced control and monitoring systems, ensuring consistent, reliable operation even under harsh conditions. This makes it ideal for radar missions requiring long-duration, continuous performance and high accuracy.

As radar requirements evolve due to climate change, increasing aviation demand, and defense challenges, RFHIC’s solution offers greater detection range, improved accuracy, and sustainable lifecycle performance. Supporting the transition to solid-state radar systems, RFHIC enables customers to achieve both mission readiness and long-term cost efficiency. Through MTX 2025, RFHIC reaffirms its commitment to delivering future-ready RF solutions for global meteorological and defense communities.
