ZOGLAB meteorological technology supports the Asian Winter Games ice and snow sports event
)
Outdoor sports events have certain requirements for meteorological conditions. For example, cross-country skiing requires the temperature to be above -20℃ and the average wind speed for 5 minutes must not exceed 10m/s.
On-site staff can observe the real-time meteorological conditions and snow surface temperature of the competition area through the ZOGLAB HWS1000 pocket-sized portable handheld meteorological instrument weighing only 168 grams; HWS3000 stick-type all-solid-state handheld meteorological instruments can be deployed at on-site points that need to be monitored to obtain more accurate real-time meteorological data including temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, wind direction and other parameters; and data can be transmitted back through Bluetooth, WiFi and other communication methods to provide data reference for the event referee team to judge whether the meteorological conditions are suitable for the event and whether the event results are compliant.
According to the staff, these two portable meteorological instruments have previously appeared in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 14th National Winter Games. They also followed the event support team throughout the Asian Winter Games, using their small bodies to inject meteorological power into the "Chinese characteristics, Asian style, and wonderful" sports event.
