Range of precipitation measurement

0,05 … ∞ mm - Automatic transfer of liquid between the upper weighing and the lower storage vessel by pump.

One-time continuous rainfall until draining is necessary - max 120 mm. (However, practically unlimited, because at the time of discharge, precipitation is calculated from the average intensity before discharge.)

The natural evaporation of rainwater from the lower storage vessel is supported.

The usable volume of the lower vessel is 100 l (2000 mm of precipitation).

Max. measured intensity of precipitation

For data output:   practically unlimited within real rainfall

For pulse output: 30 mm/min (respective 1800 mm/hour)

Working resolution: 0,001 mm precipitation

Output resolution:    0,1 mm precipitation

Rain detector input

To increase the sensitivity of the rain gauge in very light rainfall (below 0,1 mm/hour), it is possible to connect an external rain detector e.g. RDM2 (input is galvanically separated).

Operating liquids

Silicone oil – the using significantly increases of measurement accuracy at long time light intensity precipitation (limits the evaporation of rain water from weighed vessel).

 

Antifreeze liquid - enables year-round precipitation measurement.

 

Monitoring the amount and dilution of the liquid in the weighing container is controlled AUTOMATICALLY.
