Coarse particulate matter (PM2.5–10) remains difficult to characterise at high temporal resolution because conventional optical instruments are sensitive to particle shape and composition. This presentation introduces AERŌTAPE®, an impaction-imaging analyser that provides unattended coarse-particle mass alongside single-particle size, morphology and colour. Long-term measurements in Cyprus demonstrate agreement with reference instruments and reveal links between particle characteristics, mineral dust, traffic and atmospheric dynamics, supporting improved coarse-aerosol monitoring and source attribution.
