This presentation covers the modernization of Indonesia’s marine observing network through the Maritime Meteorological System Phase 1 (MMS-1) project. It highlights how observation infrastructure is being upgraded by integrating multi-platform instruments. The presentation will address improvements in spatial-temporal data density, operational challenges, and capacity development programs for forecasters and technicians to ensure the long-term sustainability of the network.
