An upper-air ozone monitoring module was developed using a solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) sensor as a plug-and-play secondary tool to support standard electrochemical concentration cell (ECC) ozonesondes. Addressing the heavy pre-flight preparation required by ECCs, this module enables rapid, low-maintenance deployment. We detail the sensor's laboratory recalibration under low-pressure environments, the strategy for deriving ozone partial pressure, and preliminary sounding results demonstrating its operational feasibility.
