LSI LASTEM Launches New PRTHL Thermo-Hygro-Barometer for High-Accuracy Environmental Monitoring
Depending on the selected model, the PRTHL family provides measurement
accuracies of up to:
- ±0.1 °C for air temperature;
- ±1% RH for relative humidity;
- ±0.15 hPa for atmospheric pressure.
The sensors are equipped with software-configurable analogue and digital
outputs and support a wide range of communication interfaces, including mV, 4…20
mA, UART, RS-232, RS-485 and SDI-12. This flexibility allows system designers
and integrators to select the most appropriate communication option for each
monitoring infrastructure.
Simplified Maintenance in the Field
One of the key features of the PRTHL family is its interchangeable,
pre-calibrated measuring head. The sensing element can be replaced directly in
the field without removing the complete instrument from the installation.
This design reduces maintenance time, limits monitoring interruptions
and facilitates periodic sensor replacement, particularly at remote or
difficult-to-access monitoring sites.
An intelligent automatic heating algorithm also supports rapid recovery
of the humidity measurement after exposure to high-humidity or saturation
conditions.
Environmental Quantities Calculated Directly
by the Sensor
In addition to the directly measured
parameters, the PRTHL family can calculate a broad range of derived
environmental quantities onboard, without requiring an external data logger to
perform the calculations.
Available calculated quantities include Dew
Point, Absolute Humidity, Partial Vapour Pressure, Heat Index, Wet-Bulb
Temperature, QNH and QFF (ICAO). These values can be transmitted directly
through the selected analogue or digital interface, simplifying system
architecture and reducing the need for additional processing equipment.
The PRTHL family is suitable for automatic
weather stations, meteorological networks, environmental monitoring systems,
industrial installations and research applications.
Multiple communication interfaces enable
integration with data loggers, programmable controllers and third-party
acquisition platforms. Available configurations range from thermo-hygrometric
monitoring to complete thermo-hygro-barometric measurement, making the sensors
suitable for different requirements.
Accredited Calibration Capabilities
LSI LASTEM operates a calibration laboratory accredited according to
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for air temperature and relative humidity measurements.
The accreditation confirms the technical competence of the laboratory
and supports the metrological traceability and reliability of calibration
activities associated with environmental monitoring instrumentation.
