Press Release for MTWE 2026 Amsterdam
Rainbow.ai
will demonstrate its weather-data platform for companies and public
organisations that need timely, high-resolution information integrated directly
into applications and operational workflows.
At the
centre of the platform is the Global Precipitation Nowcast API. It provides
rain, snow and mixed-precipitation forecasts at 1 km² resolution, refreshed
every 10 minutes, with one-minute forecast steps extending up to four hours.
The REST/JSON API is designed for weather-dependent operations including
logistics, mobility, aviation, drones, agriculture, energy, marine services,
insurance and digital platforms.
Visitors
will also be able to explore:
- Weather Map Tiles API — global precipitation
nowcasts and cloud cover delivered as map-ready 256 × 256 raster tiles
through a CDN;
- Unified Weather API — hourly and daily forecasts
covering temperature, precipitation, wind, pressure, humidity, UV index,
visibility and dew point;
- Real-Time Radar — processed radar data with
de-noising, blending and low-latency delivery, designed to remain
resilient to gaps in individual radar sources;
- Historical Radar Data — regional datasets prepared
for model training, research and event reconstruction;
- Weather Alerts — configurable notifications
delivered into customer applications and operational workflows;
- Enterprise Solutions and
Premium Support
— tailored APIs, webhooks, SDKs, dashboards, regional tuning,
private-cloud and on-premise deployment options.
Rainbow.ai
processes heterogeneous weather observations as interconnected data layers. Its
architecture combines inputs from five major geostationary satellite systems,
more than 700 radar data sources where available, ground observations and
static geospatial information. Proprietary machine-learning models compare
patterns across these layers, suppress inconsistent signals and extract
coherent precipitation features before forecast inference, classification and
quality control.
“Operational
teams need to understand what will happen at a specific location over the next
minutes, and they need that information in a format their systems can act on,”
said Alexander Matveenko, CEO of Rainbow.ai. “At the Expo, we want to meet
organisations that are ready to test our data against their own observations
and explore how their sensors, radar and satellite data can be combined with
our AI.”
Forecast
quality can be examined publicly through WeatherIndex.ai, an open-source
benchmarking platform developed by Rainbow.ai. It captures forecasts from
tracked providers on a common schedule, normalises them and compares them with
real observations using metrics including F-score, accuracy, probability of
detection, Critical Success Index and frequency bias. In the current global
comparison, Rainbow.ai records the highest F-score among the tracked providers
at forecast horizons beyond one hour.
Rainbow.ai
will also present the Early Access Wildfire Detection API and discuss its
technology roadmap, including a multi-parameter Foundation Nowcast Model,
low-altitude 3D wind intelligence, hail and lightning detection, and cloud and
solar applications. Early Access and in-development technologies are available
for technical evaluation, pilot projects and collaborative validation.
About
Rainbow.ai
