SELERYS IN DETAILS

Selerys Stand: D22
SELERYS – ADVANCED WEATHER MONITORING AND ACTIVE WEATHER PROTECTION

SELERYS develops integrated technologies dedicated to the detection, analysis, forecasting and mitigation of severe weather events, with a strong focus on hail, thunderstorms and precipitation management.

The SELERYS product portfolio combines high-resolution meteorological sensors, radar technology, atmospheric electrical monitoring, real-time data processing and decision-support software. SKYDETECT™ provides radar-based monitoring of convective clouds, while EVEARLYS™ detects and analyses atmospheric electrical activity to identify developing thunderstorms and track their evolution.

All meteorological information can be integrated into CIRRUS, SELERYS’ digital platform, which centralizes real-time observations, alerts, meteorological data and operational information. The platform enables users to monitor multiple areas simultaneously and support rapid operational decision-making.

For active weather intervention, SELERYS develops LAICO™, a cloud-seeding system based on intelligent balloons and dedicated launching technologies. The company also develops drone-based atmospheric intervention solutions, as well as specialized technologies for fog and precipitation management.

SELERYS also provides complete turnkey systems, including field instrumentation, communication networks, meteorological monitoring, software, operational supervision and maintenance.

By combining atmospheric observation, advanced data analysis and active intervention technologies, SELERYS delivers end-to-end weather risk management solutions, from detection and early warning to operational response.

SELERYS develops and integrates advanced atmospheric sensors dedicated to the continuous detection, measurement and characterization of severe weather conditions.

The sensor portfolio combines conventional meteorological instrumentation with specialized atmospheric detection technologies. Ground-based sensors measure key parameters including air temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, rainfall and precipitation intensity.

SELERYS also develops atmospheric electrical monitoring systems based on interferometric technology. These interferometers are designed to detect and analyze electromagnetic signals generated by atmospheric electrical activity, particularly the electrical discharges associated with thunderstorms. By measuring the characteristics and temporal evolution of these signals, the system can contribute to the detection, localization and tracking of lightning activity over a wide area.

The interferometric approach enables multiple sensors to operate as a synchronized network. Signals recorded simultaneously at different measurement points can be compared to determine the direction, timing and characteristics of atmospheric electrical events.

SELERYS sensor networks are designed for continuous outdoor operation, with emphasis on measurement precision, synchronization, response time, reliability and real-time communication.

Combining meteorological sensors with interferometric atmospheric-electricity detection provides SELERYS with a comprehensive sensing architecture capable of monitoring both local meteorological parameters and the electrical dynamics of developing convective systems.
