SPN1 Pyranometer
Unlike conventional diffuse measurement systems that rely on rotating shadow bands or tracking mechanisms, the SPN1 has no moving parts and requires no routine adjustment or alignment. This significantly reduces maintenance requirements while improving long-term reliability, making it particularly well suited to remote monitoring stations and long-term environmental research programmes.
The SPN1 simultaneously measures global and diffuse solar irradiance, enabling Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) to be calculated without the complexity of traditional instrument combinations. Its spectrally flat thermopile sensors provide stable, research-quality measurements across the full solar spectrum, ensuring excellent performance under clear, cloudy and variable sky conditions.
