Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)
Andrea Costantini is an R&T Engineer at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), working within ENVISION – Environmental Sensing and Modelling and the Luxembourg Eco-hydrology Observatory (LEO). His work focuses on environmental sensing, hydro-climatological monitoring and the development and deployment of distributed observation systems.
He has extensive field experience in the integration, installation and operation of environmental sensor networks in challenging environments. His technical expertise includes IoT and LoRaWAN communication technologies, environmental instrumentation, low-power systems, remote data acquisition and the integration of sensing technologies with digital data platforms.
Since 2019, he has been involved in the deployment of LoRaWAN-based monitoring networks in complex terrains, including the Italian Alps, as well as more recent deployments in forested environments in Luxembourg and remote rural areas in Bangladesh.
At LIST, he contributes to the development and testing of sensing and communication solutions, combining in-house technical capabilities with the integration of industrial technologies to build robust and sustainable environmental monitoring systems.
