Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia (BMKG)
Hendri Satria WD is a Senior Engineer at the Directorate of Instrumentation and Calibration, Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia (BMKG). Serving as the lead conceptualizer and overall field coordinator, he is the primary technical driver behind the national digital transformation of the agency’s observation infrastructure, set for official launch late this year. Specializing in meteorological instrumentation, automated observation networks, and calibration systems, he bridges high-level framework design with practical field execution across more than 2,200 automated sites. His work focuses on integrating Industry 4.0 Reliability Centered Maintenance with International Organization for Standardization laboratory standards to ensure uncompromised data quality, system reliability, and global metrological traceability. Having previously presented research on sensor robustness in a poster session at the World Meteorological Organization TECO-2024 in Vienna, Austria, he continues to pioneer practical, cost-effective solutions for large-scale observation networks.
