Dr. Lorraine Tighe is Director of Earth Sciences Solutions at Esri, supporting national government initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in geology, natural resources, and Earth science applications, she leads efforts to advance geospatial thinking across disciplines. Her work focuses on leveraging Earth observations and GIS to drive sustainable development and resilience. A recognized expert in geospatial technology, Dr. Tighe co-edited Addressing Earth’s Challenges – GIS for Earth Scientists and contributed to the ASPRS DEM User’s Manual. She holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences (Physics), a graduate diploma in Remote Sensing, and a B.Sc. in Physics and Geology.
