Markus has an engineering degree in Telecommunications
With 32 years of experience in frequency management.
He started his career in the international frequency management of the German Administration (9 years).
For 23 years he is in sole responsibility of frequency management at EUMETSAT.
He participated in 8 WRCs (World Radiocommunication Conferences.
From 2016 to 2023, he also served as chair of ITU-R Working Party 7C (EESS passive and active remote sensing). Since end of 2023 he is chair of ITU-R Study Group 7 dealing with all science services in the International Telecommunications Union.
