
Rémy Giraud

WMO / Météo-France
For more than 30 years, Rémy Giraud has contributed to the work of WMO on data sharing activities (from introduction of TCP/IP on the GTS to the development of WIS 2.0). Since May 2020, he is now the Chair of the Standing Committee on Information Management and Technology, part of the Infrastructure Commission of WMO). This team oversees all the work related to Data exchange, Data Format, Metadata format, IT Security and Information Management.
During this period, Rémy worked mostly at Météo-France, but also at ECMWF and IBM. His last position at Météo-France is Head of the Infrastructure Department, in charge of all IT resources (HPC, Archive, Servers and Network) for Météo-France.
