Scott Cornelsen is Director of Research and Development at Campbell Scientific, Inc., where he leads sensor product development for the company’s environmental division. An electrical engineer by training, he has more than 20 years of experience developing instrumentation for environmental and atmospheric measurements, with particular expertise in gas analysis, micrometeorology, signal processing, and field-deployable measurement systems. His recent work has focused on instrumentation for greenhouse gas flux measurements, including trace-gas and infrared gas analyzers designed for eddy covariance applications. He has contributed to the development and field evaluation of measurement systems for carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide in challenging environments.
